Background and objectives of the programme

The Induction Programme for training Faculty & Academic Staff in Central and State Universities, Centrally Funded technical Institutions, and Degree & PG Degree colleges will familiarize them in their roles as freshly inducted university teachers. It will orient them on various generic aspects of teaching learning, instructional methodologies, assessment and evaluation techniques, ICT enabled teaching learning, and equip them with knowledge of University rules and regulations, basics of governance and administration.

As per Draft UGC Regulations, induction programmes under PMMMNMTT are expected to be considered at par with Orientation Programmes of UGC for Career Advancement Scheme (CAS) requirements.

FAQs

Your travel expenses (upto AC III tier) will be reimbursed of by the organisers.
Lodging and boarding will be provided by the host institute.
Bhopal is well connected to other parts of India through Air and railways, and has direct flights to Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad and Lucknow.
IISER Bhopal campus is located about 18 kms from the railway station and 10 kms from the airport. Uber and Ola taxi service is readily available in almost all parts of Bhopal.

Yes. There is a registration fee of Rs.2500/- only, which will be reimbursed on successful completion of programme with 90% attendance.
This programme will orient the participants on various generic aspects of teaching learning, instructional methodologies, assessment and evaluation techniques, ICT enabled teaching learning. It equips them with knowledge of University rules and regulations, basics of governance and administration.
You will have to arrange for the accommodation yourself. If space is available in the institute guest house, it can be provided on payment basis.
Yes, you may choose to stay outside the campus. You need to inform the workshop organisers in advance if you are not going to avail accommodation at IISER Bhopal’s Visitor’s Hostel. If you choose to stay off-campus, commuting to IISER and back on daily basis have to be managed by you. Use of IISER bus service requires prior registration with Community Transport Users Committee which you will have take care by yourself. Kindly also note that workshop events may not end according to the bus timings and at times may finish late in the evenings. The centre plays no role in making transportation arrangements.
