About ProgAll

Computer programming has become so ubiquitous these days that it is very important for people to understand its basic ingredients, especially if they are seeking a technical job. And this is very easy to learn if we are willing to make a little bit of effort. ProgAll is an effort in that direction and it mainly intended at creating YouTube videos that explain programming in a way that is very easy to understand by anyone in college or even high school. Currently, the videos are made in Hindi but we plan to expand to other Indian languages in the future. Although many of the videos are specific to C programming language, the core concepts explained are universal and hold true for any other programming language. So, if a student has carefully gone through these videos, it will be very easy for him/her to learn any other programming language without much effort. In the future, we hope to be able to offer courses on Python programming as well as other important topics related to computer programming.

ProgAll: Second Round in June 2019

Initially the videos were uploaded on YouTube and made available on the CREATES webpage http://creates.iiserb.ac.in/progAll.html, but then it was felt that student learning might be more effective if can be offered as a MOOC. Under the Centre for Research in Advanced Technology for Education in Science (CREATES), an online course "Basics of C Programming" was created using these videos and offered in January, 2019 through the mooKIT platform developed by Prof. T. V. Prabhakar at IIT Kanpur.

After successfully completing the first round of the ProgAll: Basics of C programming course in January 2019, we felt the need to reach out to more students. And launched another round of one month course in June 2019.

The online course can be found here ProgAll Mookit Course
